A quick note

Junior Bali (DJ 151) has been a staple in the Vancouver wedding dj industry for over 25 years playing for every culture and age group imaginable! He began his djing career at the age of 14 playing for school dances, birthdays and community events. It didn’t take long for him to get his first wedding gig at 16 at the Renfrew Community Centre! That event was for a caucasian/fijian couple… not the easiest crowd for your first time! In the district of Collingwood Renfrew he is recognised as the go to person for all of one’s musical needs including having contracts with the Vancouver Parks Board, Canada Safeway, Make A Wish, BC Cancer Agency and others.

Experienced and Entertaining

To date, Junior has dj’d approximately 1,200 wedding related events spanning 25 years. During this span, he also has done numerous school events along with 15 years of night club residencies with live sound engineering experience. 151 has travelled the globe playing hits for people in Mexico, Miami, India, Australia, Seattle, Alberta, Hawaii, US Virgin Islands and even Surrey 🙂

His music knowledge is extremely vast. He has dj’d for most of Vancouver’s predominant cultures including Italian, Indian, Portuguese, Chinese, Filipino, Croatian,your classic Canadian of course and many others as VanCity is one of the most diverse city’s in the word. His music library has more than 25,000 songs ranging from the 50’s to current, Dance, Ethnic, Hip Hop, Rock, Country, Disco and many more. Requests are always welcome and never turned down.. (maybe) 🙂 His main focus is always to maintain a happy energetic dance floor. That should always be the primary focus of any competent DJ. One thing that makes Junior a very rare performer is that he is one of the last DJ’s that uses the long lasting industry standard turntables at all of his events! Yes thats right, he still puts the needle on the record and guests just love the spectacle as it is a rare sight indeed. “Needless” to say, the equipment is simply a vessel for the actual personality behind the music. Creating smiles and memories are 151’s only concern.

His passion for music and his clients are evident. Making an effort to connect personally turning clients into friends is very important to him. One cannot last 25 years in a competitive market just on skill alone..

First I will start off by saying that my husband and I knew who our DJ would be about 6 years before we were ever engaged – TRUE STORY! We attended a friends wedding that he DJ’d and we were on the dance floor the entire night!!! When it came to the party, I remember walking in early and hanging out in the back and texting Junior telling him that I loved what he was playing and i was also getting messages from my friends asking about who our DJ was because he was absolutely killing it! He kept the party going from the first minute to the very last. Having such a diverse crowd at the reception, he catered to everyone with his mixing, music choices and top notch professionalism. With a Norwegian-indians couple getting married in Udaipur with all international guests our biggest concern was finding the perfect DJ. We were lucky enough to have DJ151 play all three nights at our wedding in Udaipur. We were blown by how good 151 combined different styles in live turntables.
